Shipping FAQ

Does Carbide 3D Ship to My Country?

The short answer is yes, we'll ship a machine just about anywhere!

The key things to keep in mind when we're shipping internationally is that you will be responsible for all customs/tariffs/duties/brokerage fees or whatever else those taxes and fees might be called where you are, but that our freight fee DOES include shipping insurance for the machine. If a crane-operator in Mumbai drops your Nomad or Shapeoko kit, that should be covered.

How Long Does Shipping Take?

This depends on the service level you select during checkout. We ship our machines via UPS or FedEx.

The Nomad ships from our California location and Shapeoko ships from our Illinois location, where you are relative to those locations will factor into how long it takes for the product to be delivered.

Can You Ship Using My Account?

Unfortunately, no. It is against company policy to use a third-party account. All shipping must be coordinated using our accounts with FedEx and UPS.

Where is my order?

Once you place your order, please allow 24 hours for processing. If you place your order late on Friday, on a holiday, or over the weekend, your order will be processed the following business day. Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information. We try to ship any items without a lead time within 48 hours. Please note that any item with a lead time, will ship within that window.

Can I Pick Up Locally?

Unfortunately, we are not set up to have customers pick up orders at our shop. Because our facilities are primarily used to make, assemble and pack our machines, we do not have a safe, designated space where customers can come pick up orders.

Packaging for Shipping

We recommend keeping your machine/accessory's original packaging. However, we understand that sometimes the box gets damaged, or you move and things get misplaced. If you no longer have the original packaging, please let us know and we can help you with purchasing replacement packaging.
