A custom car with no hand carving

Apollo is an Industrial Designer and a co-founder at Carbide 3D so we depend on him for a lot of the machine testing. This is one of the first projects he did on our pre-production Nomad.

The car is made from 3 white oak parts and a thin walnut slice in the middle for contrast.

Breaking the car down into 3 pieces also made it easier to machine it in a single setup without having to machine the top, and then flip it to cut the back. This is a trick we use all the time to cut parts faster and eliminate work for us as a machine operator.
