Node Editing Updates in Carbide Create

A couple of months ago, we started a thread in the forum asking for everyones number one request for Carbide Create. We knocked out a lot of the low-hanging fruit quickly, but one of them sent us down a rabbit hole.

The request from jeffdt in that thread, with a bunch of upvotes was:

Ability to nudge selected nodes with the keyboard arrows the same way you can nudge entire vectors.

That seemed simple, why not?

As we got into that change, it touched the node editing code, which is the oldest remaining part of Carbide Create. That chunk of code also handed node snapping, and the ability to drag/move vectors in the drawing view. What started out as an afternoon project ended up taking two months of work to complete, because we didn't want to patch the old code; it was time to rip out all of that old code and rewrite it with an extra decade of experience. We ended up with a much-improved node editing experience, more consistent snapping behavior, and a lot of quirks removed.

The latest build has been trouble-free, so we've been able to move it to the main Carbide Create Download page. We'd recommend that you download it and give it a try.

Here's a list of the changes:
